Lustra is the distilled expression of a personal journey β one that began not in a boardroom or distillery, but in gardens, kitchens, and herb-tables. Founded by Patrick Winten in Belgium, Lustra flows from Solum7: a deeply artisanal project rooted in nature, born from a search for purity, silence, and honest craftsmanship.
The roots of this story reach back to the hills of southern Italy, where Patrick's grandparents once made wine in the region of Genzano di Lucania. What began as a family story with grapes evolved into a modern interpretation of botanical experience. No marketing plans, no mass production β only a quiet commitment to the craft.
Each batch of Lustra is made entirely by hand in small volumes. No laboratory, no team, no industrial shortcuts. Just two hands, a workbench, and weeks of maceration in food-grade ethanol. That ethanol is first purified with activated charcoal to become the cleanest possible base. Then, carefully selected European herbs are allowed to macerate over seven weeks β a ritual that draws its power not from speed, but from time.
The name "Lustra" refers to purification through ritual. It symbolizes silence, patience, and devotion to the real work. Lustra is not a liqueur, not a digestif, not a commercial drink. It's an infusion β a convergence of earth, plant, alcohol, and human attention.
